Pride Vs. Lust

Post here, if you have a Sin character and want to fight Leto. Warning: I will be posting slow so don't expect any rapid fire. This is only to pass time when I have nothing else to do.

Setting:



Situation: You decide.

It was another boring day as usual, the souls were as weak willed as usual and though that made Eros happy in some ways it was awful; He wanted something more challenging to occupy his time, so while he was flying high in the air an idea came to his mind, he always enjoyed messing with his fellow Sins in some way or another but there was always one he never could find to mess with and that was Leto. Ah, he had tried many times before to corner her but she was good at evading him, though whether or nor he was being evaded was questionable since he didn't have any solid proof she was avoiding him and it could have just been nothing more than a coincidence she was never there when he arrived. Though today felt lucky and he was confident he would not miss her this time, and he was right, for while riding a thermal wave he spotted the blonde on the ground below doing nothing more than walking around at what seemed to be a casual pace, he decided he would swoop in and have a better look before approaching her.

He dropped from his current height of thirty feet to just ten feet in the air while keeping his distance so he would not be seen as he studied her before making his move, he saw her usual expression and demeanor which meant that she hadn't been doing anything too unusual; He always wanted to see just how far he could push the great Leto with his antics, the other Sins always reacted differently to his games but they were far harder to charm and that was good, because then he could laugh at how weak willed they were otherwise. Typically the Sins are hard to effect with each others afflicted Sin but they weren't completely immune, it just took more work than with a normal Togabito or other soul they felt like ruining that day and right now Eros needed that challenge to work off his excess energy which was not being released like he would have preferred.

"Hey Leto-chan~" He called, his tone carried it's usual mischievousness and hint of flirtatiousness it always had when he spoke, he was now close enough that he could be seen and heard but he was still far enough in the air that he could not be reached by simply reaching up. He stopped his flight three feet to her right and six feet in the air, he simply hovered there and starred at her with his piercing icy blue gaze; His thin, pointed tail flicked slightly as he watched her for any movements."Whatcha been up to out here?" Eros asked, furthering things with a small attempt at conversation, just feeling her out to see just how she would react to his presence.

Thin wisps of white mist drifted lazily in the air around Leto. The translucent vapour rose up from an unknown source, snaking around the thin, silvery trunks of the numerous trees that dotted the landscape. Eventually, the mist would reach the uppermost treetops, only to be contained by the thick canopy. Those miniscule droplets of water were trapped, by the very organisms that they nourished no less. Was it betrayal? Were the silver trees ungrateful for the life that the water granted them? Frozen, immobile, solitary… powerless. The trees could do nothing but watch. Over the decades; no, the centuries, these trees stood and witnessed everything. Lives created and destroyed. Devastation… and celebration. So many ups and downs, dragged out through hundreds of years; enough to drive one insane. How could anyone, or anything, be grateful for such an existence? These are just a few of the many things that Leto had contemplated over the years. Now, she knew better, none of it mattered. What did matter to her, the only thing, was that this disgusting world be brought to an end. In her opinion, all creatures on Earth were nothing but a scourge on the existence of all. The blank nothingness of empty space was better than the turmoil and filth that humans created. This world had once held potential; it was beautiful. But the humans took all that away. Now, there was nothing left to hold onto. In the end, possessions and relationships meant nothing. They were only fragile scraps of long-forgotten goals; glory. That was what the people of this world hung onto, to convince themselves of their importance… but it was all for naught. Leto would end the cycle; the suffering. All of the desperate creatures of this world would be put out of their misery. That was what Leto wanted. That was why she liked taking walks in this forest. The ethereal setting made her think more; it inspired wild, unimaginable trains of thought. Even she had to stop sometimes and wonder at the things she thought of. It was sickening, but marvellous nonetheless.

Leto did not think of herself as God, but she was a saviour. Destruction and creation are two sides of the same coin. In destroying Earth, she would create peace. She truly did not think of herself as a villain; she was only doing what should have been done long ago. She needed no plan, like the setting of the Sun, the devastation would be predetermined. It had to happen, and so it would. The only specific detail was that it would be Leto who would influence this great change.

Leto had been walking at a steady pace; not too slow, but not overly fast either. Sensing a disturbance in the air, she took one more single step, and then stopped. She did not bother turning to check her surroundings; she simply stood there, waiting. After all, there was nothing here that could really pose a threat to her. Once she heard her name called, Leto turned her head to look at Eros with a dull expression.

“What?” she asked in a sour tone, clearly irritated at being tracked down by a fellow Sin. Knowing Eros, it was probably for something that she herself would consider pointless. Her expression remained stoic and in a way, remorse. However, her bright orange eyes betrayed her annoyance. The fiery gaze would almost seem potent enough to bore a hole through steel, yet her visage remained passive.
