| Does anyone actually read it, or check it? Or is it just taking up space? I've been thinking that we should get rid of it, but I want other opinions first. | |

| Well the way that I did it is a code I made. I don't really want to let anyone else update it because they could mess it up. Plus, I need to be on a computer to update it. | |

| Ah DX Well, that's a good reason XD Hm..Idk, because we do need some kind of announcement system, the question is actually what will work the best? Maybe, we should add a poll or something to this thread. See how many pay attention and if they find it useful ect.. | |

| Nah, there is no other way to make an announcement box without getting really technical, that's a waste of time IMO. If anyone has an opinion, they can comment about it. >.> | |

| I think we are slowly creating a lot of duplicate topics. I think the announcement box is better than the topic we have. All we need to do is tell people they're required to read it. We can never really force it down their throat, though, no matter how much we'd like to. | |

| Hm...One possible way of getting announcements out would probably be to use the Global Announcements we already have. Those appear in all forums, thus no matter where you are, you should catch notice of them. Things that do not take or receive constant attention tend to fall and slip under the rug. The same with the Announcement Box. Update it constantly, even with little things (big things aren't the only things people need to know about), and it'll become more and more apparent that it needs to be checked regularly. If you don't want others fooling around with it, either just allow your Co-Admin to help, or set up a template (Or I will if you like) for us to send to You the information and things we want to see in the Announcements.
And, Mu-chan, if you want others to post here, get their attention. No one will know if you don't tell them. I'll post in the OOC for others to take a look inside and provide a link. | |

| Hey, people are supposed to check for announcement threads here anyways. n.n Also, I can't really do much on my phone. I may be getting my laptop back today though, so I can pop some announcements in there later. | |

| But if the image for the forum turns blue, that means its been posted in. o.o I thought people would catch wind of that... | |

| I rarely look at the color of the icon to determine when a forum has had a new post, cause that new post might not actually be "new". Instead I pay attention to the time when threads were posted in. | |

| Well if you had from the start always checked whej something was posted in and clicked all the new posts, then that wouldn't happen. I think I'm the only one who does that though. | |

"But I must explain to you how all this mistaken idea of denouncing pleasure and praising pain was born and I will give you a complete account of the system, and expound the actual teachings of the great explorer of the truth, the master-builder of human happiness. No one rejects, dislikes, or avoids pleasure itself, because it is pleasure, but because those who do not know how to pursue pleasure rationally encounter consequences that are extremely painful. Nor again is there anyone who loves or pursues or desires to obtain pain of itself, because it is pain, but because occasionally circumstances occur in which toil and pain can procure him some great pleasure. To take a trivial example, which of us ever undertakes laborious physical exercise, except to obtain some advantage from it? But who has any right to find fault with a man who chooses to enjoy a pleasure that has no annoying consequences, or one who avoids a pain that produces no resultant pleasure?" |
