| The Office is all around simple, nothing extravagant or over the top. A desk sits along the wall adjacent the sliding doors, looking over the rest of the room. A couch as well as a few chairs sit before it with a small table set up between them. A Bookcase sits by the window but is scarce in its contents, better at gathering dust than at holding books or other items. Somehow it has a seemingly endless supply of sake though the bottles are never in plain sight, stashed away in different places and not hard to stumble upon at times. | |

| Laying across the couch in her office, Rangiku ran her long index finger over the wooden arm of the couch. She sighed out heavily, a pout turning down her full lips. She shifted on her elbows that propped her up, keeping her from the discomfort of squashing her very feminine feature beneathe her. Boredom was clear on her pouting face as she huffed some fallen strands of golden blonde hair out of her face, giving them an annoyed look as she did so. "Geez...There's really nothing to do" She half whined, letting her head fall forward to rest on the arm of the couch.
The Soul Society itself was quiet but Rangiku was aware of the fighting taking place in the world of the living. She knew they were arrancars and just that fact alone left a dreadful feeling in the pit of her stomach. She remembered clearly everything that had happened last time they faught arrancars, more so what happened after her own battles were done. She pushed those ememories back before the memory of a certain dying face would bring her to tears. Instead she quickly pushed herself up toher knees, running her hands back through her hair as she composed herself. "Well nothing is going to get done moping" she said to try and bring herself back up before getting up ofd the couch all together.
"Not that there's anything to do anyway" as she said that she looked to a tiny stack of papers on her desk. "Well that can wait..." she rreasoned aloud to herself. "Its only a little. I'll just do it later" procrastination was her friend. And if not then there were other friends she could rely on afterall. Those friends were methods of manipulation she was no where near above using.

| Stretching her arms up above her head, Rangiku made her way to the window of her office. She maade a small noise as her musclles were pleasantly stretched out, letting out a pleased sigh as she lowered her arms back down to her sides, Careful not to put to much weight, she leaned on the glass of the window, overlooking those outside in the barracks. There really was nothing to do. Everyone was somewhat on alert once they heard of the fighting but at the same time they were obviously not too worried, acting no different than usual and enjoying themselves to some degree in what entertainment they could find.
"Well I certainly don't want to seem like the downer" she sighed out, pushing off the window and manuevering straight into quick steps toward the sliding door. Waves of blonde hair flowed behind her, glistening under the light of the room. It fellonce her strides ceased, a few pieces tumbling over her shoulder and framing the very lax bust of her uniform. Reaching out, Rangiku slid the door open, starting to walk out but then suddenly stopping herself. She turned one her heels, sandals making near inaudible thuds against the wooden floor as the lieutenant walked to her desk. Opening one of the drawers, a few smaller bottles of sake were revealed to her. She smiled and leaned down to pick one up out of the confines of the desk. Just in case procrastination decided not to be her friend, Rangiku wanted to go ahead and make some preparations. With the bottle firm in hand, she looked down to inspect herself. Her free hand raised to adjust her necklace so it was more in 'its proper place' as she would put it for her plans like this.
"That should do it!" she announced to no one in particular. Shining blue eyes seemed to glow with some pride of her bright plans that weren't all that hard to formulate or accomplish if one had the right 'equipment'. Pleased, Rangiku turned back to the door, standing tall as she walked out, a smile clear on lush lips. She was looking forward to the day of nothingness she would almost certainly get now. None could deny her afterall.

| With a brief padding of her straw-laced sandals, the new Captain of Squad Ten, Yueidara Nuzufuiji, slowly stepped up to to Lieutenants Office's door. Her palm rose up to rasp her knuckles against the wood, and with a short knock, she brought it back down and decided to try out her voice instead. '' Lieutenant Matsumoto, right? ...This is your new Captain. '' She yawned, slowly scratching the side of her face before twisting the doorknob, and allowing herself into the room. Yes, she had manners, but this was her Lieutenant, and it's time they got to know eachother. Upon entering, all of Yueidara's features were visible. Her wispy, chocolate-brown locks, her tanned complexion and even the bandage that covered her right-eye. The way that she dressed was also a big part of her stature, as the left-side of her Shinigami robes were hanging down to around knee-length, allowing her large bust and traumatic scarring to be shown to all eyes. She tipped her head in Rangiku's direction, even as her smirk began plastering all across her face. '' Care to join me in my office for a moment? '' She pursed, looking all around the Lieutenant's office while doing so. Her office was alot like her own, yet somewhat smaller. And it Yueidara's own didn't seem as homey as Rangiku's. Mainly because her office was still undergoing treatment of a personality check, but that was another story altogether. | |

| Returning from her sucessful outting of persuading different members to help her out with paperwork so she could have a little break, Rangiku came strolling back through the halls. She noticed the door to her office was open, tilting her head to the side in a wave of confusion. Surely none of those men were eager enough to already be here and doing her work for her. Maybe she was much better at recruiting than she thought. Reaching the door she peeked inside, disappointed by the lack of seeing any of those she had asked for help. Instead she spotted the woman she recognized as her new captain.
"Captain?" the lieutenant walked inside, staying close to the door. She crossed her arms over her torso, giving her bust a light push up as she looked over the woman infront of her, almost finding her competition of sorts. The gold chain of her necklace fell down in the space of her chest, getting lost from sight as she did so. Blue eyes continued over her captain just for a moment bur returned to her face before she could be noticed.
She had come in time to hear Yueidara's request for a meeting in her office. She gave a small shrug of her shoulders and lowered her hands before smiling. "Sure" she was pretty sure it wasn't an offer she had the choice to deny. Besides she much prefered the larger space of the captain's office where she had spent a lot of time before with her previous captain, if nothing more than to poke at his nerves. She hadn't gotten to know her new captain at all and she couldn't help but to be curious of the type of woman she was. Spotting the smirk she could already tell she was different from Toshiro, which could really go good or bad.

"But I must explain to you how all this mistaken idea of denouncing pleasure and praising pain was born and I will give you a complete account of the system, and expound the actual teachings of the great explorer of the truth, the master-builder of human happiness. No one rejects, dislikes, or avoids pleasure itself, because it is pleasure, but because those who do not know how to pursue pleasure rationally encounter consequences that are extremely painful. Nor again is there anyone who loves or pursues or desires to obtain pain of itself, because it is pain, but because occasionally circumstances occur in which toil and pain can procure him some great pleasure. To take a trivial example, which of us ever undertakes laborious physical exercise, except to obtain some advantage from it? But who has any right to find fault with a man who chooses to enjoy a pleasure that has no annoying consequences, or one who avoids a pain that produces no resultant pleasure?" |
