| Well, this is me sending a challenge out to any who dare or aspire to take me on. I have no preference to opponent, so if you think yourself able to provide a challenge, why not take a gamble and take me on. Just post here and then we can iron out the details from there. Looking forward to a good fight from whoever accepts this.

| Then welcome, Madam, to the scenic Mojave desert, where hostility and heat are in abundance, and money leaving people's pockets is a lifestyle for certain locales.
A Garganta ripped itself open in the middle of the desert, letting the energies of Hueco Mundo flow out as a singular man stepped out of the portal. A white coat flowed around his body, allowing one to see the wiry muscle that the man had cultivated. Around his legs were the typical Hakama-esque pants that most Arrancar had, with a slight fraying at the edges to show their age.
Across his torso would be a black shirt, with small cuts and tears from previous battles coating it's surface. Looking to his face, there would be a shock of wild, untamed white hair, at least if one were able to see him from below. Head on, all one would see is a dark hood covering his head, casting a shadow over his eyes to the bridge of his nose. A single light scar could be seen across his throat, if one ventured close enough to him to see it.
The Garganta closed suddenly, with Tesei tapping the ground with his cane. Hearing the muffled sound of sand being moved, he realized the battlefield he had accidentally arrived at. This would be an interesting fight, if the source of reiryoku he could sense was to be true. "Well, its time to see who or what exactly is wanting to fight me. Must have a death wish or something, but regardless, I will grant it." Tesei muttered to himself, his Pesquisa expanding in its sonar fashion to tell him the layout of the area. A few scattered cacti offered the only shadows beyond his own, requiring a little more concentration for now to draw upon them. Deciding he best just wait, the blind arrancar put two hands to the cane, ready in case of a sudden rush attack.

| Akuma felt the Garganta open and she sensed the Arrancar that had just arrived. She smiled slightly to herself and began using flash step to approach the new arrival. "So you are here." The words left Akuma's mouth just as she arrived near the Arrancar. She stopped moving and her captain's haori moved slightly to the right from the sudden stop. She stood about 10 feet from the man and slightly to the left. She noticed that he had a hood up, covering his face similar to the way Akuma had her hood.
She drew her zanpaktou, temporarily ignoring formalities. She didn't really care who this man was, just if he were strong of not. Other than a few hollows, Akuma had barley fought in quite some time. Instead of making a move to attack, Akuma let her sword point to the ground but she kept her grip on the hilt firm. "Do you mind me asking your name?" she asked; Her voice held an impatient tone, since she was eager to battle, but she wanted to know his name so she could add it to the list of wins in battle when she was done. Before he could respond, Akuma said "I am Akuma Mitsukai." She didn't tell him her rank of squad since the doubted he really cared anyways. Akuma waited for him to speak, practically bouncing in place. She couldn't wait to start the battle, but she had to make the introductions first.

| Tesei analyzed her body and movements from the reiatsu she used in her shunpo. A smirk crossed his lips as he picked out one specific piece of clothing: A captain's haori blowing in the wind. Calculating the distance to the woman, he saw that she would require at least a few seconds to approach him, or just rush past him via shunpo. Swinging his cane to the right, Tesei sent the wooden portion that he had for show on the sword into the desert sand two feet away.
"So, you wish my name and only offer yours, no rank? I feel so flattered." Tesei sarcastically told the woman before him, a smirk on his face. A wind came up from behind Tesei, sending small amounts of sand flying around, blocking Akuma's vision. "Your name.....Akuma......Demon. Such a suiting name for such a violent soul." The blind, white haired man told his opponent, his smirk turning to a playful smile. This could be fun.
"My name is Tesei Utakata, the right hand of Dalaga and the successor to Aizen as a leader of the Espada. I am the shadow in the night, the whisper on the wind. I would call myself the Night Angel if I so chose to. But Tesei is good enough, captain of the Shinigami. You can have the first move, since you seem so eager." Tesei calmly told the energetic woman, his smirk returning to his lips. The wind blowing the sand into the air gave Tesei's coat a mysterious look with its frayed edges and small holes and cuts along it.

| Akuma clenched her fist when he made the comment about her name. It's not like she got to choose her name. She got the name because everyone in the Rukongai was scared of her silver hair. Plus, Akuma wasn't normally very violent. She just hadn't fought in a while and she was itching to do so so her skills wouldn't deteriorate. "Although you already know I am a captain, I will elaborate for you." Akuma's voice held the same sarcastic tone and she bowed, as though she were in front of a king. As she straightened up again, Akuma said "I am Captain of Squad 13."
Akuma was a bit surprised to hear that he was in charge of the Espada now. Aizen had been a strong opponent. If this was his successor, would she be strong enough to defeat him? She shrugged to herself. If not, then it would be her own fault for starting the fight. She used shunpo to move to the left of her opponent. She raised her zanpaktou to strike, but she used shunpo again to appear behind him. Akuma then made a downward slash with her zanpaktou, starting at his left shoulder blade and going down diagonally across his back. If her attack hit, then Akuma would use shunpo to move in front of Tesei and attempt to stab him through the stomach, just above the belly button. If her initial attack missed, then Akuma would shunpo to a location 20 feet behind him and slightly to the right to wait for a counterattack.

| Tesei smirked as his comment on her name sunk in. Oh, what an easy bit of taunting he could do with such simple words against a person. Now, she was just slightly enraged and more rash than normal, playing precisely into what he hoped for in this fight. A nice little warm up before he sank his teeth into something more worthy. Shaking his head slightly, Tesei dropped those superior thoughts of his. If he thought like that, this Captain might take advantage and kill him. Lord knows Dalaga avoids it enough as is, can't have two Espada Lords bragging superiority and always considering themselves better. Then it would be like being led around by tge same man twice.
Realizing his musings had allowed Akuma to begin a shunpo rush towards him, Tesei spun the sword into a single handed right handed grip. Watching the pattern of her rush, Tesei gave a smirk. While it would have worked much more easily on the more sight dependent fighters, Tesei got a preview almost based off her reiatsu. Her attempted feint was a good tactic, but using it via multiple shunpo against her current opponent would not work.
Taking up a tactic he picked up from a couple spars he had been in with Dalaga, he spun the sword again, the blade now protruding three feet out from Tesei's armpit. Watching the second shunpo, Tesei sensed the timing of her arrival and utilized this little tactic. Using Sonido to go backwards was absurd and generally unheard of but it worked fine and allowed for surprises like this. Rather than her blade cutting into his shoulder blade, she would be greeted by the sight of a blurry blob flying back, sword first to impale her.
Not even waiting to see if she had been hit or not, Tesei continued with thee in fight banter. "Squad 13? I forget what exactly that squad does. Care to remind me? Things of little importance tend to slip away." Tesei let an invisible smirk paint his face. That should rile her up sufficiently. "Also, I am not full lord. Neither was Aizen to tell the truth, but keep that illusion if you will. I am leagues away from the true lord, so if I can manage to beat a captain, imagine what he can do."
For Tesei, a fight was like a dance. You never end up going to the exact same beat, even with tge same opponent. Sometimes what you or your opponent does surprises you, but you never show it. You keep a set expression of slight cockiness and show exactly why you are the one who chose to take this on. But throwing in jeers created anger, which generallys knocks an opponent off-beat. Once they get too off-beat, you easily take them down.
(Whoa. I intended for that to be shorter. Oh well.)

| As Akuma saw Tesei move backwards, Akuma changed the course of her blade at the last second. She moved her blade so it would block his own, sparks flying as she did so. She shunpoed to a location about 10 feet to the left of him as he spoke. She raised her eyebrows at the remark about her sqaud. She finally understood. He was trying to bait her into a raged frenzy. Akuma took a deep breath and felt her emotions turn calm. "Are you wanting to talk or fight?" Akuma asked him, her voice filled with rage. She figured that if she could make him think that she were angry and reckless then when the time came, he would be surprised when she was calm. Akuma waited in her place, sweat beginning to form on her from the heat of the dessert. She stood alert, waiting for Tesei to make a move to attack. | |

| Tesei picked the deep breath she took in like it was right next to his ear, feeling a sigh almost cross his lips. Only his inherent concentration and willpower kept him from releasing it. It appeared the game was on now, and this woman had figured out his first move. Letting his smirk return, he faced towards the woman. Twirling his sword around his arms, switching between his hands and showing a lack of interest. Finally stopping it in his right hand, he let another smirk paint his face.
"Well then, Madam. Since you don't want to embellish me and my want to have a little banter in this fight, I guess I can just insult and launch slurs at you. Either way I'm good, demon girl. Just this way, I get to be a little more snide." Tesei taunted, his smirk still on his face. His coat waved in the slight wind, but mainly from the motion of Tesei's sword spinning.
Deciding to see how she would react, Tesei raised the middle finger of his left hand, raising the digit to the sky like a religious icon. In the hollow hole in his left hand, a bit of energy began to form. Laughing slightly, Tesei lowered his arm until his fingers pointed to the ground and fired the Cero he had charged up. It wasn't meant as an extremely offensive move, but it would keep her moving, allowing the shadows from the sword sheath he had cast away to slip around his body to the blade in his hand, which he had returned to a defensive stance.

| Akuma just shrugged. She wouldn't allow this person to make her angry. He could say whatever he wanted to; Akuma really didn't care. She raised an eyebrow at his motions and easily dodged the cero with a small shunpo. She stood there silently, waiting for him to make another move. If I can stay on the offensive until he tires out, then I can strike when he is vulnerable, Akuma mused to herself. If I can last that long, she added to her thoughts. A slight wind blew, making her haori move to the left, flashing the blue underneath as it did so. She pulled her hood so it covered her face more and blocked out the suns glare.
Akuma adjusted her grip on the hilt of her zanpaktou so it was better suited to offense. Instead of waiting for another attack, Akuma decided to try something. She started to run forward without shunpo, raising her arms in front of her as she did so. "Hado #31, Shakkaho!" Akuma said, firing off the small red blast at her opponent. She didn't really want it to be strong, she was just hoping to use it as a distraction. She fired the blast when she was about 4 feet away from him, and she continued to run forward without the use of Shunpo. She raised her zanpaktou and slashed downwards on his shoulder; Whether the attack hit or not, Akuma would shunpo back to her original location.

| Tesei sensed the Kido heading his way, with a calm look on his face. Aiming his pointer finger on his left hand, he fired a Bala to counter her quick fire Hado. Bringing his sword to point at Akuma, he smirked, deciding he would not stop her charge. Instead, he had the shadow consume the blade to build it into a larger blade, the tip of the blade turning midnight black and shooting itself forward, preferably drilling its way through Akuma's stomach.
Not even waiting to see if this worked, he aimed his left hand at Akuma before firing another Bala to keep her moving or to damage her. The shadow that had transformed Tesei's blade returned to the ground before snaking to where Akuma would end up, in hopes for a sneak attack later. "So not much of a talker now? Too busy to speak or just not altogether too witty? I'm betting the second one." Tesei mocked, a smirk crossing his face.

"But I must explain to you how all this mistaken idea of denouncing pleasure and praising pain was born and I will give you a complete account of the system, and expound the actual teachings of the great explorer of the truth, the master-builder of human happiness. No one rejects, dislikes, or avoids pleasure itself, because it is pleasure, but because those who do not know how to pursue pleasure rationally encounter consequences that are extremely painful. Nor again is there anyone who loves or pursues or desires to obtain pain of itself, because it is pain, but because occasionally circumstances occur in which toil and pain can procure him some great pleasure. To take a trivial example, which of us ever undertakes laborious physical exercise, except to obtain some advantage from it? But who has any right to find fault with a man who chooses to enjoy a pleasure that has no annoying consequences, or one who avoids a pain that produces no resultant pleasure?" |
