Who knows, in the past he may have been in your prior situation, and made the wrong descision. maybe his buddy was a total fish head. that could cause that opinion.

If necessary, I could loan a deck to you for her to use to face you. and I'm thinking of hosting magic club at my house this week, so all are welcome (provided they can get to brechin). as you know, watching a game before you play is a great way to grasp the mechanics, and the club would provide her a great opportunity to watch, learn, and play in the same day.

That would be good. Constantly kicking my ass would definitely boost her confidence. xD I don't think she will be able to get to brechin though. :/ My dad will drive me, but definitely not her... e.e I haven't asked when we can hang out yet, we're still catching up. xD Hard to believe we haven't talked in almost 2 months. n.n

I need five damn good reasons why I should continue down a path that leads to the same end result, rather than take a deadly ass shortcut e.e

1) the long path has a good view
2) You're currently walking a path filled with plenty of other people, the other path has absolutely no-one else on it and take it from me, absolute loneliness is absolute hell.
3) In this case, it's not the destination that counts, as I highly doubt your ultimate goal is what lies at the end of that short cut.
4) the long path is a lot more fun, provided you let it be
5) You haven't even explained why you want to take the shortcut. tell us why, and we could probably give you 5 more reasons.

Everything to be honest, stress of parents breathin' down my back to find a place/job and move out, stress of trying to find a place/job that's within the five to ten mile area because I lack transportation so that I can move out...The stress of not being able to tell people I'm terrified about starting my life because I don't think I can handle the stress, because I'm afraid to go the long route to the end destination...

Yet I'm perfectly willing to just go the short cut e.e Ain't it ironic? A thanatophobe who's suicidal x.x

I got a good reason: 'cause I said. >.> Kidding, but seriously. You gotta keep trying. You will get results if you really go for it...

1) While there will be problems, look around you. majority of the people whom are walking past you in the street have gone through anxiety prior to moving out, because it is scary. That being said, the place you move to doesn't even need to be permanent, it could just be a temporary arrangement.

2) The job you get doesn't need to be permanent, it can be a stopgap while you find the one you really want.

3) once you solve 1 and 2, you won't need to worry about 3. I don't know your parents so I can't say much more than that.

4) What's to be afraid of? sure there are bills to play and jobs to work, but the only thing standing in your way to do anything in the long run is you. the only reason to be scared is because of the vastness of what you see ahead of you, since you're clearly more afraid of that than you are of the end. and since the end is inevitable why rush it? there's not point in worrying or regretting that which can't be changed; that can cause you to miss things which can just make a situation worse. bothering to think of futility is futile.

and as for the "I have no-one to talk too", you have us, don't you? and if you need more, check and see if you have any local clubs you could join. failing that, you potentially have your parents (again, I don't know your parents, so I can't be sure, but it works for some).
