BasicsName: Inuyasha Higurashi
Nickname: Inu-kun, Dog boy
Age: Appears 15, is really around 200 years old
Gender: Male
Squad: 7
Rank: Lieutenant
Weapon(s): His fingernails are harder and sharper than average; more like claws. He is actually able to cut most material with these "claws" and can create blades of reiryoku with a slash of his claws on occasion.
Personality: Inuyasha has always had a hard time fitting in because of his appearance and temperamental disposition. This caused there to be darkness in his heart. However, since he joined the Gotei 13, he has had a purpose, and people to live for. This comforted him, allowing him to take on a more strong and gentle disposition. Inuyasha's main goal is to protect those that are close to him.
Even when is life is in danger, he never backed down. Enemies are taken aback by his unorthodox fighting style and he achieved greater victories than his abilities would suggest. Inuyasha is driven by a fierce, persistent determination to win and his guts in battle have proved to let him get a favorable result. However, his volatile emotions often turn into childish behavior and becomes tiresome to his friends. Inuyasha himself cannot control his tumultuous soul. Even if seriously wounded, the moment he detects the presence of those he most protect at all costs he would completely forget the pain. The overflow of his emotions went beyond his body's limits. Inuyasha is incredibly hotheaded and easy to upset, often striking out with his fists at the source of his annoyance.
He is impatient by nature and can be very prideful, having much difficulty to admit he was wrong about something. It is very difficult for Inuyasha to accept his own mistakes.
However much he pretends to be a bad boy, the sides of himself he reveals in casual moments expose his good inner nature. He cannot hide his true feelings. Although his friends describe him as "easily decieved and honest to a fault" and "unable to understand the subtleties of the human spirit", his personality is difficult to dislike. Inuyasha is extremely susceptible to lies and trickery, and has a blunt, almost brutal honesty about most things, which is why he often seems to be rude and disrespectful to others (which he often is to begin with).
Inuyasha has said that its best to kill anyone who bares there teeth as soon as possible, but sometimes-special circumstances prevent him from doing so. He hates those that kill for fun and gladly rescues people in torment. He has a strong distaste for people who ostracized from others for just being different, which he likens to his own lonely, miserable childhood.
Power more than fighting tactics, fighting spirit more than wisdom. Inuyasha has fought multitudes of powerful enemies and suppressed them with raw power and instinct. Rather than analyze matters, Inuyasha runs on reckless emotion and-even if seriously injured in battle- he eventually achieved favorable results in the end. Inuyasha's instinct and experience is a product of daily training. When he sees something new, his eyes light up and he tries to intereact with it. Inuyasha is dense and rather slow to catch on to something, Some might even call him stupid in character, which isn't that far off.
Physical Appearance: Inuyasha has long silver-white hair, golden eyes, and a fair skin tone. His fingernails taper to sharp, claw-like points as do his canines, making him look as if he has fangs. Oddly enough, his shihakusho is dyed a brilliant shade of red, and so is the sash around his waist. He normally does not wear tabi socks like the rest of the shinigami, preferring to either go barefoot or wear just the standard straw sandles. He is always seen wearing a beaded necklace around his neck. It looks similar to rosary, and is adorned with 7 white, claw-like beads. The purpose of this necklace is unknown.
The most odd feature about Inuyasha, is his ears. Atop his head, sit two furry white dog ears. They are pointed, not floppy. Though they are unusual, many women think that they are absolutely adorable, so he has a bit of a fandom around the Seireitei; which he finds rather annoying. His zanpakuto, Tetsusaiga is usually sheathed at his left hip when in sealed form.

Bio:Inuyasha was born with strangely-coloured hair and eyes, along with claws, fangs, and dog ears as opposed to normal human ears. As one would imagine, this made him an outcast in society. In life, he was rejected by everyone and everything because of his odd countenance. He lived back in the feudal era of Japan, where there were many bloody battles, and incredibly tough times. Abandoned at the age of five, he lived through it all alone, toughing it out in the widespread forests and covered Japan at that time. Many a time, his appearance got him into tense situations. Villagers, Warlords, and bandits alike would always mistake him for a demon. Given all of the situations he was able to survive, one might actually think he was. After the repeated occurrence of being attacked as a demon, Inuyasha learned that he needed to distance himself from humans; he would never be able to mingle freely with his own kind.
It was a lonely, meager existence, but it was his own. What he wanted most at the time, was to find his place in the world. Later, he would realize that he had to carve out his own place. Over the years, he got stronger and stronger. He found that he could kill animals, and even cut down trees with his claws. After all, there was not much else to do for one who was living in the wild, all alone. Although Inuyasha was used to be alone all the time, he always wished that he had at least one person to talk to; sometimes he thought that he might go insane from the constant solitude.
Then he began to get more bold. His wanderings occasionally brought him close to villages, though he would never wander far enough to be discovered by anyone. Most of the time, he simply passed them, knowing what would happen if anybody caught sight of him. One day, he made the mistake of letting his guard down. In the forest, he ran into a girl about his age, by the name of Kikyo. whom was a shinto priestess. At first, she was repulsed by Inuyasha, just as the other humans were. But as time went on, and she saw more and more of Inuyasha, she began to feel a connection to him. After all, Kikyo was a priestess. Unlike the other women, she could not take a husband, she could not wear makeup; her only purpose in life was to defend her village. she had no friends, because anything that could possibly distract her from her goal was prohibited. she was, for all purposes, an outsider. She was just like Inuyasha, both were unable to live ordinary, happy lives because of circumstances of their birth. Both Inuyasha and Kikyo quickly realized thisa, and they began to spend time with each other. It got to the point where they were always with each other, one never leaving the other's side. More than anything, Inuyasha loved Kikyo. He was always happy when he was around her, and he protected her; he finally had a purpose in life.
Of course, all good things must come to an end; nothing is sure in the world, and that is no different from the way things went 600 years ago. Inuyasha himself does not know what happened, perhaps the other villagers grew tired of his presence, or someone had convinced everyone that he was a demon, but it was the worst way everything could have ended. He was on his way to go meet kikyo again, when he heard something small whistling through the air. Not even a second later, an arrow struck the tree right next to him. Assuming that the arrow had been fired by a disgruntled villager, Inuyasha looked up in the direction where it had been shot from, only to see that it was Kikyo, standing there, bow drawn; with an expression of undisguised hatred. Kikyo, reached for another arrow while Inuyasha stood there dumbstruck. "W-what are you doing?" he asked. Kikyo did not answer. Instead, she notched the arrow into ther bow and drew back.
"Die, Inuyasha!"
That was the only answer that he needed. Before Kikyo could shoot, Inuyasha sprang into action and ran off into the brush.
Kikyo betrayed me... this whole time, she was planning to kill me! This was the conclusion that Inuyasha jumped to, and it filled him with rage. After that very point in the event, Inuyasha’s mind went blank, he cannot remember anything else, but he assumes that he was killed by Kikyo shortly after. He often has dreams about it.
After that, Inuyasha could only remember waking up in the outskirts of Rukongai, a strange time lapse occurred, and sent him roughly six-hundred years into the future. He was confronted by hollows many times during his stay there, and soon began to realize that he had “special skills”. He could fight the beasts using his claws, by creating blades of reiryoku with a slash of his hand. He was also very agile compared to the other souls. Sooner than later, the Gotei 13 took note of this, and after some argument, Inuyasha was inducted into the academy. He only graduated because of his brute strength and strong spiritual potential. Often times he would insult his teachers; and barely listened. After graduating from the academy, Inuyasha joined Squad 7, and over the years rose to the rank of Lieutenant, even achieving bankai.
Inner world appearance: A seemingly never-ending forest. It is filled with tall deciduous trees, while the ground is covered by grass, ferns, and other such vegetation. If one managed to make it to the very center of the forest, they would come upon an enormous tree. Daunting in proportion, this tree stands taller and wider than any other tree in the forest; even casting a shadow over a fair-sized area of the forest. Under the roots of this tree is where Tessaiga usually waits.
ZanpakutōName: Tessaiga (Iron-Smashing Fang)
Zanpakutō spirit: Tessaiga takes on the appearance of a middle-aged male with long golden-blonde hair, crimson eyes, and pointed ears, almost elf-like. His hair is parted in the middle, so that his long bangs frame his face, which has rather angular features. He has a peach skin tone, along with fangs and claws similar to Inuyasha's. He always wears a pure white kosode and a hakama of the same colour, as well as black armor - edged with gold - over his torso and both shoulders. Overall, he looks like an angel warrior without wings. Tessaiga is normally very solemn, serious, and determined, but he is known to get angry when Inuyasha says something dangerous stupid, or does not heed his advice.
Sealed form: At first glance when not in shikai, the Tessaiga appears to be nothing more than a battered katana with a heavily chipped and rusted blade with the hilt's fabric tearing away. The guard is circular, and a golden colour, as is the pommel. The sheath of Tessaiga is black with three red bands around it, near the top.
Shikai: When transformed, the blade turns into an oversized dog's fang, fitting for its name. The cross guard turns into a large patch of fur similar to a dog's also. The blade is nearly as long as Inuyasha is tall and can change forms, depending on different abilities.
- Shikai:
Call out phrase: Let's go, Tessaiga!
Any abilities/techniques: Kenatsu (Pressure from Sword Swing)- This is the special ability that allows the Tessaiga to cut opponents without touching them surrounding the blade in youki. InuYasha uses the ability before he learns the Kaze no Kizu.
Kaze no Kizu (Scar of the Wind)- By swinging Tessaiga, Inuyasha can release a massive wave of yellow reiryoku towards an enemy. It gets wider as it travels farther.
Bakuryūha (Bursting Stream Blast)- Uses the opponent's strong spiritual forces and unleashes the Wind Scar at the right point, causing the energy to be reflected back with the added power of the Wind Scar. Power is amplified many folds. However, two requirements are needed in order to implement this technique. The first is that Inuyasha can only reflect pure reiryoku attacks. The second is that his own spiritual power must be much stronger than his opponent's or the attack will not form.
Kongosoha (Diamond Spear Blast)- An attack that causes the Tessaiga to be covered in shards of diamond, which he then can shoot from the blade by swinging Tessaiga. Inuyasha is also capable of combining this technique with his Kaze no Kizu.
Bankai Bankai name: Hason Shita Tessaiga (Corrupt Iron-Smashing Fang)
Bankai description: A torrent of Inuyasha's own reiryoku erupts from the ground and surrounds the user in a "twister" of swirling energy, lasting only a few seconds. Once the gale subsides, Inuyasha is revealed with slight alterations to his zanpakuto an physical appearance. The fur around the hilt of Tessaiga is coloured a jet-black, while the blade itself takes on a dark grey tint. As for Inuyasha, his irises turn dark red, and ragged, purple scar-like markings are visible below his eyes. A curious trait about this bankai is that it corrupts the user. Whenever Inuyasha uses a technique (eg. Meidou Zangetsuha) while in bankai form, two black scar-like markings will appear somewhere on his body, usually the first markings appear on his forearms. The more marking he has, the more bloodthirsty Inuyasha becomes. Too many markings could actually cause Inuyasha to lose himself. Soon, he would start killing indiscriminately, fighting endlessly until he himself was killed. Deactivating bankai causes all the accumulated marks to disappear, reversing the effects.
Any abilities/techniques: Meidou Zangetsuha (Dark Path Slashing Moon Wave)- Before he uses this technique, Tessaiga's blade turns completely black, with random points of white light scattered over the blade. The attack itself can take the shape of a large circular blast or a blade, sometimes even multiple blades. Both forms of the attack can nullify other reiryoku-based attacks, sucking them in like a void. When it hits an opponent, it does not cut them, but instead leaves a black mark or "stain" over the area that came into contact with the Meidou. If the body part which was "stained" is not removed within 30 seconds, the true effect of Meidou Zangetsu will come into play. From the point at which the opponent was stained, they will begin to dissolve. This effect spreads to the rest of the body as well, eating away at the opponent rapidly, resulting in their death. This is Inuyasha's most feared technique. He is for all purposes, forbidden by his superiors to use it.
Ryūjin-Sukeru No Tessaiga (Dragon-Scaled Tessaiga)- The top half of Tessaiga's blade transforms, so that the blade appears to be covered in green scales. After the transformation, Tessaiga's blade can steal a small amount of reiryoku from whatever it cuts. Whatever reiatsu Inuyasha receives from his opponent, Inuyasha can use against them.
Gokuryuuha (Dragon Twister)- After a charging period of about five seconds, Tessaiga unleashes a large, violent, and powerful purple/black tornado that annihilates everything caught in its path.
